TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

MAY 3-7

Teacher Appreciation Week.jpg

For Teacher Appreciation Week, we were delighted to celebrate our wonderful teachers! The PTA provided bagels and coffee on Tuesday. View the Padlet, (https://padlet.com/lrached/i4ollz0xbl9ndmp Password: 154154), set up by Ms. Rached, for the students to express their gratitude, share their favorite memories, post a picture and simply spread some happiness! For our remote teachers, some kids started morning meetings on Zoom with signs they made for their teachers. On Tuesday morning, we decorated the sidewalks with chalk messages for our beloved teachers. Thanks to our community and to parent, Susan Eng for helping to organize Teacher Appreciation Week!

MAKE ENRICHMENTS HAPPEN

HELP US REACH OUR GOAL BY MAY 31!

Help us raise $20.5K by May 31 to make our class enrichments and PTA funded activities happen! Our P.S. 154 community has remained strong, and now with the return of many children to full-time in-person school, and a robust remote learning program, our goal is to keep pushing forward, and raise the funds we really need to sustain our PTA-funded programs. As most parents voted to not hold a Gala this year, but instead to give donations, we are asking you to please give a donation to replace the $10.5K budgeted for the Gala and the $10K for annual donations. Please visit ps154.org/donate by the end of May. This will provide us with the funds and time to plan to bring back some of those cherished activities, such as chess, music programming, recess coaching and social and emotional learning. We know that it has been a very different year. We encourage you to give what you can to help us establish a strong enrichment program for our children for next year and beyond.
