Hi Families,

Shape PS 154's Future: Complete the 2023-24 School Survey by April 5, 2024!

Your voice matters! The School Survey is a powerful way for you to share your thoughts about our school and directly influence its direction. Your feedback is crucialโ€”it's used to assess our school's performance in the School Quality Snapshot and guides decisions made by our School Leadership Team.
3 Easy Ways to Complete the Survey:

  • Hard Copy: Fill out and mail the survey sent home in a green envelope a few weeks ago.

  • Online: Visit the School Survey  site and complete the survey. (Please have your childโ€™s OSIS number ready. If you need it, reach out to Tanica.)

  • Online via NYCSA: Log in to your  NYCSA  account and click "Take the 2024 School Survey now!" at the top of the page, then scroll down to "Take Survey."

Important: If you have more than one child enrolled, please fill out a survey for EACH child.

Your input shapes our school's futureโ€”don't miss this opportunity to make your voice heard!

Summer Rising applications are due on Monday, March 25. Families should use the Myschools portal for Summer Rising. Please reach out to Tanica if you an account creation code for your MySchools account.  for more info about Summer Rising, please go to the DOEโ€™s Summer Rising page.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Parent Workshop Alert: Navigating Puberty Conversations with Confidence - Monday, March 25, 6-7:30PM - In-Person @ PS 154 MMR ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Join us for an informative in-person parent workshop on Monday, March 25th in the MMR, sponsored by the PTA!

As parents and caregivers, we often seek to initiate crucial conversations with our children about bodies, boundaries, consent, gender, and identity, yet we may feel uncertain about how to begin or what to discuss. This session aims to support parents and caregivers in navigating these discussions.

Led by progressive sexuality educator Rachel Lotus, the founder and director of The Talk NYC, attendees can expect to gain practical advice, actionable steps, and developmentally appropriate resources to help facilitate these conversations at home. Rachel is currently actively engaged with our 5th-grade students through "The Talk" Student edition, meeting with them weekly.

Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights and tools to support your child through this important stage of development.

This workshop is for PS 154 families.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Spring Auction & Raffle Success: We Beat Our Goal! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

We're thrilled to announce that our recent auction and raffle exceeded all expectations. In total, we raised  $35,997, surpassing our ambitious goal of $35,000!  This remarkable achievement truly showcases the strength of our PS 154 community. Thank you to everyone who placed a bid, bought a raffle ticket, or made a donation.  We're excited about the positive impact this will have on our school and are deeply grateful for everyone's generosity.

A huge round of applause goes to Alice Lincoln, our Auction and Raffle Committee Chair, and the dedicated members of the committee, Vivian Lee, Sarah Gartenberg, Thomas Sperduto, Renanit Levy, and Nora Zelevansky, as well as Sheila Fedele, Jaymie Kelly, Leslie Bishop, Grace Ciacca, and Eric Cheng for their hard work in making this a success.  A heartfelt thank you also to our class parents, parent donors, business donors, school leadership, and the PTA Executive Team for helping make this event a success.  Your efforts will further enrich the classroom experience for all our students. Thank you!
