COMMUNITY INFO & EVENTS
CITY OF SCIENCE
Sunday, December 15th from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM at Park Slope Armory
The World Science Festival and Con Edison present our third annual CITY OF SCIENCE event, a FREE larger-than-life STEM exhibition that travels through the boroughs and is coming to BROOKLYN in December! We are reaching out to bring your school community to this exciting program that will unleash every child's inner scientist.
Walk on water, blast balls into orbit, and explore the inner workings of the human brain. Our activity partners will demonstrate the power of STEM to kids of all ages with interactive exhibits and hands-on activities – watch us in action here!
RVSP is encouraged, but not required.
Giving Thanks, Giving Back
This Thanksgiving week, we reflect on how fortunate this school community is, and want to share an opportunity to help NYC public school students who are dealing with homelessness.
Half of the students at PS 188 are homeless. You can get in touch with a staffer at the school, Esther Zito at ezito@schools.nyc.gov, to learn more about what the school needs and what you can do to help.
If you are able, consider buying something from PS 188’s Amazon Wishlist.
